Chasing fall landscapes

Fall is the perfect season to go outside and enjoy nature's colours! Here is a selection of what I think to be the most beautiful destinations for this time of the year.
Hi everybody and welcome to my first blog post! As fall is in the air I decided to start by sharing with you the best destinations to enjoy this season all over the northern hemisphere. I have to admit that the younger "me" was more addicted to summer, but thanks to some years of living in Montreal and trips to Vermont I discovered the magic light and atmosphere of autumn (and of course the pumpkin latte that goes with it).

U.S. NORTH EASTERN STATES
VERMONT & NEW HAMPSHIRE
I will start with these two states as they are the ones that made me realise how creative nature could be, just look at the landscapes and you'll see impressionist paintings! Also this is a good destination if you want calm and peaceful holidays as you'll feel alone most of the time; there's plenty of cosy bed and breakfasts where you can enjoy the famous pumpkin latte (yes I'm obsessed with it). However there are few hikes to be done it is not the ideal destination for hiking addicts! You'll see the most of the people travelling this region will just drive and stop to take pictures - please don't do this, go outside and enjoy the last rays of sun before winter!
NEW YORK CITY
If you need more action but also beautiful fall colours I have what you need and it's called NYC. Yeah you read it right. Although the city is well know for its buildings and the lack of sun that goes with it, there's a small island of nature that is amazingly beautiful during autumn (it is called central park in case it wasn't obvious enough). U.S. SOUTH WESTERN STATES
UTAH
What can I say...I'm just totally addicted to this amazing state that is beautiful every single season! I know it's not the first that will come in mind when thinking about fall but look at these rocks on fire, aren't they worth the trip? Also, if you've read the hike section of this website you know that there's a lot of trails and the weather is not as hot as in summer which makes it the best season for this activity.
EUROPE
ICELAND
Ok guys I know...Iceland is amazing every season, and that's true. But fall make it interesting as there's less tourists but also because depending on what you want to explore there's more opportunities. Let me explain the simplest way.
Summer = too much tourists but also puffins.
Winter = less tourists but really cold and difficult driving, some areas are closed.
Spring = surprise! No idea of the weather you'll get (well ok all year around it's like that) but more importantly there's still snow and some roads are still closed.
SWITZERLAND
Completely objectively: my country is the best! I do live in Switzerland, and yes, it's a small country but with so much beautiful nature and landscapes that I could write an entire chapter about it. But I won't. I'll just post a picture and let you think about it.
